WWE WrestleMania 37 Go-Home SmackDown To Be Taped Ahead Of Time
WWE will tape the WrestleMania 37 go-home episode of SmackDown a week prior.
With tonight seeing the Fastlane go-home edition of WWE SmackDown taking place, there’s now an update on the current plan for the WrestleMania 37 go-home of the company’s blue brand.
As per Fightful Select, WWE will be taping that SmackDown offering ahead of time. To air on 9 April, the pre-‘Mania Smackers will be taped a week prior to its air date. In fact, the belief is that the 9 April episode will be taped before the 2 April episode airs live.
That particular 9 April SmackDown will obviously take place just one day before the two-day WrestleMania 37 commences, and clearly WWE is looking to keep things as smooth as possible in the lead to this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.
This follows on from the earlier news that this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will likewise be taped ahead of time. As part of WrestleMania Week, the Hall of Fame will air on Tuesday 6 April.
Today saw Eric Bischoff announced to join Molly Holly in the 2021 Hall of Fame class. Going into the HOF at the same time will be the previously confirmed 2020 class of Batista, Jushin Liger, Davey Boy Smith, Brie and Nikki Bella, JBL and the nWo foursome of Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman.
