Commentators pretending not to know Dabba-Kato when he was on Raw Underground is very WWE.

The first ever Nigerian Drum Fight came to an end when Dabba-Kato ran into the ring and cost Big E the match just as he was about to win, essentially handing the Intercontinental Championship to Apollo Crews.
However, the ring announcers seemed to forget all about the Raw Underground star as they reacted as though they had no clue who he was, simply referring to him as "this monster". Of course, the WWE Universe had a field day with this.
