WWE WrestleMania 37 Universal Title Match Changed To Triple Threat?
Bryan seemingly joins Reigns & Edge in competing for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 37...
Daniel Bryan will join Roman Reigns and Edge's WWE Universal Title match at WrestleMania 37, making it a Triple Threat.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has confirmed the change following the events of Fastlane 2021, which saw Bryan fail in an attempt to win the Universal Title from Reigns in the night's main event.
An epic, character-driven encounter played out at the end of the night. Running for around 30 minutes, it saw Bryan further his credentials as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and Reigns enhance his own as WWE's most effective modern heel, even with the inevitable shenanigans.
Bryan actually forced Reigns to tap to the Yes Lock during the bout, but the referee was down following interference from Jey Uso and Edge, the special guest enforcer. The Rated R Superstar then appeared to turn heel, blasting both Reigns and Bryan with a steel chair to allow Roman to drag himself across the canvas and score an ill-gotten pinfall.
Daniel's addition to the match comes following weeks of teasing between him and Edge. Far from feeling like a third wheel, he comes off in a complimentary presence in a feud that has surprisingly struggled for traction since Edge's Royal Rumble 2021 win.
