WWE's Backstage Morale Is At An All-Time Low - Report
Sasha Banks and The Revival almost certainly agree.
In a development that should surprise absolutely nobody, given the turmoil that has engulfed WWE in 2019, the promotion's locker-room morale is now said to be "the worst it's ever been."
This is according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live. The Figure 4 Online man claimed he'd been told this, presumably by one of his sources, and it's entirely believable.
The WWE roster is seemingly full of unhappy men and women, with Alvarez's colleague, Dave Meltzer, stating that there is a considerable "unhappy middle" within the promotion, and that it's comprised of disgruntled performers whose names are yet to become public knowledge. This could mean the recent string of wrestlers asking for their release continuing.
TJP, Hideo Itami, Tye Dillinger, and Dean Ambrose have all been let go in 2019. They are the lucky ones. Left behind are the likes of Sasha Banks, Lio Rush, Luke Harper, and The Revival, all of whom have tried to get out of their contracts, only to be taken off television or, in Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson's case, subjected to ritual humiliation. Given their situations, it's no wonder that the locker-room isn't a happy, harmonious place.
