WWE's Becky Lynch Lays Into Road Warrior Animal
The tag-team great had some outdated views on women's wrestling.
Speaking on his What A Rush podcast over the weekend, Road Warrior Animal became the latest red-faced wrestler to disappoint those who adored him as a child with some outdated comments on women's wrestling.
Though acknowledging that the scene was on the rise, the legendary Legion of Doomster seemed to express dismay at the toppling of the status quo:
There is a problem in the wrestling business. Yes, the women’s movement is growing, but when the women are the main event and they have the best matches on your card, there’s an issue.
Sigh. Add Animal to the list of 'PC Gone Mad' gobsh*tes which includes Greg Valentine and Jerry Lawler.
Thankfully, Animal's prehistoric comments didn't go unchallenged. Becky Lynch - the hottest female star in WWE right now - and one of the two in the quoted main event - took to social media to put the Road Warrior in his place:
