Big E had some explaining to do when this indy favourite signed with WWE.

Big E admitted on the latest episode of his 'New Day: Feel The Power' podcast that he straight up "stole" the Uranage move he uses from ex-WWE peer Samoa Joe.

The New Day man didn't pretend that he'd been influenced by Joe and wanted to pay homage to him. Nah, E is happy to concede that he nabbed the move because the Samoan wasn't in WWE at the time. So, common thinking inside the company was that it was fine to lift moves from elsewhere.

By the time Joe reached WWE, E thought about broaching the subject or finding another signature to use in matches. The subject never came up between both men though, and E loved using that Uranage.

Joey Mercury was actually the guy who had recommended it in the first place. Big E didn't think it'd be an issue, and he wasn't 100% sure that Joe would ever sign on the dotted line for WWE anyway. That's...some remarkable honesty from the former Intercontinental Champ.

E says Joe "was always cool about it" and "never gave [him] any flack" for blatantly using his offence.
