WWE star Jeff Hardy has revealed in a new interview with Metro that he is still feeling the after-effects of November's bruising Symphony of Destruction match with Elias.

The bout went down on the 30 November episode of Raw, and saw Hardy take the win despite absorbing big amounts of punishment, particularly for a WWE match. He took one particularly nasty-looking bump during the bout as he dived from the top rope to Swanton Bomb Elias through a table on the outside, his head narrowly missing the steel steps on the way down.

Post-show reports gave the impression that Jeff was doing alright afterwards, though these new comments sound like he is dealing with some longer-term back issues:-

“Even in that Symphony of Destruction match with Elias, people thought my head was messed up from the stairs but it was easy, my head is fine. When I did the Whisper in the Wind and he hit me in the butt with the guitar, my back is still messed up from that. But that’s part of the job, you know – you’re gonna get hurt.”

The Symphony of Destruction doesn't appear to have cost Hardy any ring time, as he remains active on Raw, working eight bouts since the musical instrument-themed stipulation.
