This is according to a new report from PWInsider, who write that the promotion have been planning on moving 'The Original Bro' over to Friday nights since before WrestleMania 36, but put the idea on the backburner coming out of this year's 'Showcase of the Immortals.' Now, with the wheels moving once more, Riddle will make the jump, with discussions resuming a few weeks ago.

This week's NXT will see Riddle face rival Timothy Thatcher in a cage fight, with Kurt Angle acting as special guest referee. There is currently no word on whether or not this will act as a farewell bout.

The Wrestling Observer adds that Riddle's switch will come "imminently."

Riddle, a former UFC fighter, has been under WWE contract since summer 2018. He quickly became one of NXT's most popular babyfaces upon debuting that October and will leave the brand with an NXT Tag Team Championship reign to his name, with him and Pete Dunne taking them from The Undisputed Era at TakeOver: Portland before substitute partner walked out on Riddle earlier this month, leaving Imperium to take the gold.
