WWE appears to be on the verge of bringing another established premium live event to Saudi Arabia.

Per Figure Four Online/The Wrestling Observer's Andrew Zarian, the promotion plans on returning to the kingdom this September. While a specific date hasn't yet been confirmed, it's likely that WWE will revive TLC for the occasion, holding the event for the first time since 2020 after skipping it in 2021.

September 2022 will be a busy one for WWE, travel-wise, with the company also planning a major United Kingdom stadium show for the same month.

WWE last hit Saudi Arabia for Elimination Chamber 2022 on 19 February. This was the first time WWE had brought one of its pre-established gimmick supercards to the country since the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018, which featured a cluttered 50-man over the top rope battle royale.

WWE currently earns around $50 million for every show held in Saudi Arabia. This is part of the nation's Saudi Vision 2030 campaign, which aims to reform the image of a government possessing one of the worst human rights records in the world. The two parties agreed a 10-year deal for what is essentially paid propaganda in 2018.
