Yesterday's news that Braun Strowman had missed a couple of live events due to back spasms sent ripples of concern through the WWE Universe, despite the acknowledgement that 'The Monster Among Men's' condition wasn't thought to be serious.

Fortunately, it looks like Strowman could now be set for an immediate return to the squared circle - and may even compete at this Sunday's TLC 2019 pay-per-view.

Per Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may shoot an angle for Strowman on SmackDown this Friday night, leading to a match at TLC, though this will only be done if they decide the big hoss is healthy enough to proceed.

As far as what that match could be, Meltzer reckons a clash with Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. This is thought to be the company's planned direction going forward, though the usual "plans can change" caveat applies, as is always the case with this company.

Strowman and Nakamura have never met one-on-one. A recent house show in Mexico City saw Braun defeat Shinsuke and manager Sami Zayn in a handicap match, though they have only shared a televised ring in one Survivor Series bout and one Royal Rumble.
