WWE's WrestleMania 43 Main Events Just Got LEAKED! (WWE News)
Dream matches and major WWE returns in the pipeline for WrestleMania 43.
Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is just one of the top bouts being touted for next year's WrestleMania 43 weekender over in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Indeed, WWE bosses believe that Oba challenging the 'OTC' "is emerging as a frontrunner" to main event the entire PLE weekend.
Fightful Select also reports that hopes remain high on a possible Rhea Ripley return long before 'Mania hype begins. That'd let the creative team start putting pieces in place for a 'Mami' mega-push in time for the event. There will be "a heavy focus" on Rhea "health permitting".
Ripley has been out since the summer with a torn meniscus, which eventually led to Chelsea Green being crowned interim Women's Champion in a ladder match at SummerSlam. WWE later recognised Chelsea as the official champ, which quietly ended Rhea's own reign.
Elsewhere, bosses are scheming another Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk match. They want to "run back" what happened at SummerSlam in August. There, Punk defeated Cody in a 30-minute clash for the WWE Title.
Since then, Rhodes has been on/off teasing both a heel turn and alliance with Paul Heyman on television. Cody and Heyman haven't really interacted in person, but the wrestler has mentioned the iconic manager more than once - or at least dropped references to him.
Going heel with Cody ahead of the Punk rematch would add an interesting wrinkle.
It's hard to look past Oba going after Reigns though. WWE has done a decent job of pressing pause on that despite Femi winning King Of The Ring and thus earning a guaranteed title match in June. His time is nigh.
