10 Mind-Blowing WWE WrestleMania 42 Facts You May Have Missed
10. A Short Night On Action
Night two of WrestleMania 42 was universally better received than the first night, garnering high praise for its opening match and main event, and several others in between.
However, the six-match card did achieve a somewhat dubious distinction: Sunday’s show had the shortest total in-ring match time in the history of two-night WrestleManias, clocking in at 81:32.
That’s four minutes shorter than the much-maligned show the previous night, and broke the record from night two of WrestleMania 37, which logged just 82:16.
Breaking it down, the main event (33:56) accounted for more than 40% of the total match time on Sunday. The remaining five matches averaged less than 9:35 each.
That might fly on a typical episode of Raw or a B-level PLE, but for WrestleMania? That’s just ridiculous.
