New Day star and born again heel Xavier Woods has taken aim at pro wrestling crowds in the United States for copying then ultimately ruining chants they hear from audiences in the United Kingdom.

The WWE man posted via his official X account to say: "North American wrestling fans hear one UK chant and run that thing into the ground".

Triple H's company runs a lot of shows overseas these days. Crowds in England, Scotland, France, Puerto Rico and more have been roundly praised for bringing the noise whenever WWE is in town. At some PLEs, the promotion runs a decibel meter that measures just how loud people can get - it'll be worked, because the meter always seems to fall just short until the right time, but it's still a neat idea that encourages rowdy reactions and booming cheers.

A lot of football/soccer chants are repeated whenever WWE visits the UK. That's the norm there, and it could be what Woods is referring to in his scathing post. There's also long been criticism of some cities the organisation visits for weekly TV shows like Raw and SmackDown. On occasion, those crowds look and sound like they're bored. However, that's tough to poke holes in too.

People are obviously allowed to react any way they see fit when attending wrestling shows, within reason. They've paid a lot of money for seats, so it's arguably dismissive to outright tell folks how much noise they should make.
