Mojo Rawley almost fronted a revamped 'League Of Nations' faction before leaving WWE.
The ex-WWE man told Chris Hero's 'Shoot Conversations' series that he would've been a "mouthpiece" for Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura in the group. Mojo went on to suggest that plans only changed when Rob Gronkowski briefly played pro wrestler in 2020 - management stuck Rawley with Gronk and turned him babyface again instead.
'League Of Nations' 2.0 would've been a heel role for Mojo though, and it doesn't appear as though the company had a fourth member in mind; Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio were the original 'League' back between 2015-2016, but it seems WWE wanted a three-man dynamic for the follow up.
Their fresh vision for the stable would've incorporated Switzerland (Cesaro), Japan (Naka) and the United States, which is obviously where Mojo is from. He's a Virginia native.
Rawley still isn't too sure why WWE didn't revisit the idea once Gronkowski was lured back to the NFL for a gig alongside Tom Brady at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He described his latter-day run as a case of "flip-flopping".
