Zack Sabre Jr Wants AEW Champion Jon Moxley At Wrestle Dynasty
He wants Mox at Wrestle Dynasty In August.
Zack Sabre Jr. has made it known in a recent NJPW interview that he would like to challenge IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley at the Wrestle Dynasty event on August 22.
AEW World Champion Moxley beat Sabre Jr.'s fellow Suzuki-Gun teammate Minoru Suzuki at The New Beginning PPV in February and it now appears that the Brit is keen to get revenge on the U.S. Champ. He also feels that there wouldn't be a better place to beat Moxley than on his home soil.
Speaking to NJPW, Sabre Jr. said:
'I don’t think anything would be better than being US Champion at Wrestle Dynasty, and how upset American wrestling fans would be. I think as well, Moxley was coming after my group, I didn’t want to wait for him to come to me, I wanted to jump in.'
The technical wrestling specialist also acknowledged Moxley's fondness for all things hardcore and alluded to the fact that he wouldn't have things all his own way if the pair met in the ring.
'I can appreciate that fans would be excited about that; I’m excited about that. You don’t know which way it’s going to go. He’s been having these hardcore rules with everyone and that isn’t going to work with me; you can keep the furniture under the ring, sunshine. I wouldn’t be chasing after him if I didn’t think I could win. I can win. It won’t be easy, but I can win.'
It's still yet to be seen whether Wrestle Dynasty will even go ahead due to the current global situation. However, if it does, you can bet that all eyes will be on a potential Mox Vs Sabre Jr. U.S. title match if the showdown is eventually booked for the event.
