Released by WWE for failing to comply with the promotion’s restrictive third-party content ban last Friday, Zelina Vega has hit her Twitch channel to describe “the worst day of my life.”

“The past week has been hell. Literal hell. Friday was the worst day of my life,” she said, adding that she felt it was “important for me to get you guys to know me” due to the spread of misinformation on social media (h/t Fightful for the transcriptions).

“I was someone who let people walk all over me, I was very insecure, and I didn’t stand up for myself,” Vega added. “Looking at social media, I expected the absolute worst. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought people were going to look at me like the devil. Let’s just say that the narrative has been spun completely out of control and is completely wrong.”

She went on, saying that she has grown as a person, learned her worth, and started standing up for herself, appreciating “the things I’ve gotten along the way.”

Vega and the SAG-AFTRA union had a “powerful conversation” earlier this week, days after union head Gabrielle Carteris had voiced public support for Vega. It is believed that Zelina was making more money from streaming than wrestling at the time of her WWE release.
