Following her release last November, Thea Trinidad, aka former WWE talent Zelina Vega, will soon be free of her 90-day non-compete clause.

WWE announced Trinidad’s release on 13 November, meaning that the 90-day clause will expire in just a matter of days.

As per Fightful Select, there is no word right now on the one-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion imminently signing with any other wrestling promotion – although one would have to imagine that a slew of companies would have interest in the hugely talented Trinidad.

After WWE clamped down on talent not being allowed to partake in any third-party ventures, Thea Trinidad was released for opposing this rule and for maintaining her Twitch channel. In the time since that WWE departure, Trinidad has spoken up publicly about unionisation in professional wrestling, which picked up some serious traction from SAG-AFTRA and New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang.

Whether linked to this whole situation or not – because WWE wouldn’t be so petty, right? – Thea’s real-life husband Aleister Black has not been seen on WWE TV since his wife’s release from the company.
