Most comic book fans, especially fans of Superman, will have heard of Bizarro, but not many have heard of Batzarro, and there's a reason for that. Fans who saw him in the comics are probably still shoving soap in their eyes, trying to wash out the terrible disease that undoubtedly shifted from the pages. A Bizarro version of Batman first appeared in 1966, but Batzarro more specifically debuted in 2002. He's the antithesis of Batman in every way, wearing an upside down bat symbol on his chest, calling himself the world's worst detective, and often repeating thoughts already shown in his thought bubbles on previous comic panels. Superman is allowed to have some slightly ridiculous villains, since he was in many ways the first superhero, so a lot of his early villains were kind of weird, because writers were still exploring the genre. But introducing Batzarro in 2002 was one of the greatest mistakes DC writers have ever made. Batzarro would fit in better in a CollegeHumor skit than a Batman comic. It's enough to make even the greatest Batman enthusiast embarrassed to admit they ever read Batman at all.
