9. Blob Eats Wasp
This entry might be better titled, bloodiest corpse in comic book history, because technically, before the Blob got around to eating Wasp in the much reviled Ultimatum miniseries, Wasp was already dead via drowning.
With that said, David Finch's illustration of a gleeful Blob, tearing Wasps flesh from her bones - his teeth and lips covered with her blood - is an absolutely disgusting visual for the reader to, ahem, digest. It is one of Ultimatum's many senselessly brutal death scenes and has become a legendary example in its own right of what a creatively bankrupt comic book series looks like (and why some have declared the mini one of the worst comics every published).
Blob's cannibalism doesn't go unpunished. In a demonstration of Hammurabis code, Blob's head is ultimately bitten off by Hank Pym as Giant Man. Fortunately for those still reeling from the graphic nature of Wasp's demise, the Blob's decapitation is nowhere near as bloody and brutal.
