Fighting The Hulk one-on-one is, as we have established, not what one would describe as "intelligent". But maybe we're thinking about this all wrong. After all, if you can't smash through a wall, why not just pump it with enough chemicals to the point where it just melts?

That was the thinking of one Hulk villain when they decided that the best way to handle the jade giant was to poison him and let him die that way.

A new villain named The Madman, knowing full well that if he and The Hulk were to come to blows, he would come up short, decides to poison The Hulk instead. However, instead of the poison triggering the transformation into classic green Hulk, Bruce instead turns into the grey Mr. Fixit.

This helps Bruce survive long enough to find a cure, since the poison spreads faster the angrier The Hulk becomes, but Fixit isn't nearly as powered by anger as his green brother is, on top of him being way smarter than green Hulk.
