8. Earth 8 €“ The MARVELous World

€œAvengers Assem€ I mean Retaliators Ready!€ Throughout comic history, DC and Marvel have had a very peculiar, symbiotic relationship. This is brought to the forefront with Earth 8: a section of the DC Multiverse devoted to Marvel analogues. Instead of the Hulk, there€™s the bestial Behemoth; not the Fantastic Four, but the Future Family; no sign of Captain America, though you€™ll find American Crusader. In other parts of the DC Multiverse, these heroes€™ stories aren€™t published by Marvel Comics €“ they€™re published by Major Comics. While Morrison created this universe simply for the purpose of meta-commentary, we can€™t help but think that this MARVELous World would be a great place for DC to explore their relationship with their Major Comics rival.
