The shapechanging spy, assassin, supervillain and anti-hero Mystique is one of the few comic book X-Men characters to receive such a potent makeover in the films that she's cosplayed roughly equally as one or the other. Given that the movie version is essentially either Rebecca Romijn or Jennifer Lawrence nude, painted blue and fitted with scales and tastefully placed prosthetics, it's surprising how many cosplayers go the whole hog and choose this interpretation to express themselves.
