10 Actors Who Said They'd Never Go Back (But Did It Anyway)

2. Daniel Craig - No Time To Die

The first of two 007 entries on this list, Daniel Craig has most definitely had a rough old time in his role as James Bond. Craig received initial criticism after being cast in the iconic role for the bizarre reasons of being blonde and wearing a life jacket while on a boat!

This however was nothing compared to what the actor endured during the production process, enduring a great deal of physical pain, including twisted ankles, broken bones and lost teeth. On top of the physical stresses, he was forced to take on the mental lode of writing duties for his second outing as Bond in Quantum of Solace, due to a writers strike at the time of filming.

Clearly Craig was well and truly over the strains of the job after his fourth time in the role, declaring to reporters that he would 'rather slash his wrists' than star in another 007 film. He went on to state that if he was to return, he would 'only be doing it for the money'. The fact that these comments came as part of the press tour for Spectre probably didn't please the producers all that much.

Thankfully the cash has been dolled out one more time so Daniel Craig can have one last outing at the British spy and end his reign in style. The trailer looks like the movie is trying some new things for a 007 movie and hopefully will prove a more exciting film than the rather flat Spectre.
