Joan Allen played a large and integral part in what were inarguably the two best Bourne movies of the bunch, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, and even had a part in the underwhelming spin-off that was The Bourne Legacy. Which is to say that, playing CIA Dep. Dir. Pam Landy, Allen has always felt like an important element. A shame, then, that she won't be reprising her role in any capacity for the upcoming Jason Bourne flick. Whilst Matt Damon and Julia Stiles are set to return as their characters, Allen - who was once attached to the sequel as far back as 2008 - has been excluded. New cast members, on the other hand, include Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones. It's sad to see Pam Landy go, but perhaps - should Jason Bourne emerge as a huge box office success - there will be room for the character to return in the inevitable sequel.
