6. Marilyn Munster (The Munsters)

For those who never watched this classic CBS sit-com or have yet to catch the one off re-imagining pilot "Mockingbird Lane", Marilyn Munster is the normal, 1950's Marilyn Monroe looking character (hence the name) in the Munsters family. She is given a hard time from her family who are made up of a Frankenstein monster, two vampires and a werewolf for being "normal" and from their perspective being almost horrifically ugly. Because of her families weird appearance, Marilyn, a very attractive blonde woman with movie star looks herself believes she is the oddity. This costume would be very very easily to reproduce. All you would need is a 1950's style flowery dress (which I bet many women have in their wardrobes anyway) and a Marilyn Monroe style wig (unless of course you could create this hairstyle easily from your own hair). Some of you will already have everything you would need to make this costume just lying around the house and therefore would have to put in no effort what-so-ever. The only downside is you would have to spend the entire night explaining to pretty much everyone you met who you were being (unless of course you went with four other friends who dressed like the other Munster family- which would be easy enough and they could get their costumes from any store selling any Halloween fancy dress). A lot of people would probably just assume you were going as Marilyn Monroe which isn't the worst idea in the world- though not very scary.
