10 Awful Comic Book Movies That Must Never Be Made

4. The Superior Spider-Man

This one is kind of obvious, but there's more to it. Outside of the limitless potential for confusion regarding how Doc Ock became Peter Parker, it would suffer, like The Walking Dead, from its limited form. Seeing as we've only been treated to 3 issues so far, nobody but Dan Slott knows how this series will play out, or for how long. Regardless though, it's another case of an idea working best in comics. I've already tried to explain the story to several friends, but didn't get further than "But how did Dock Ock die if he's alive?" Also, one of the key draws of Spider-Man in any form is the humor and sense of fun. Even in this comic there is a well defined and well worn sense of light humor to counterbalance the nature of the story. Trying to execute this in a film would be terribly difficult, and would possibly result in a camp travesty or overly dark and serious film. And we all remember Spider-Man 3. And that was happened when we made Peter Parker a douchbag. I can't even think what people would think of the new guy. In short, a comic that I'm really enjoying, and while it might be too early to make a call, nevertheless a terrible idea for a film.
