After scoring a wild success with The Woman In Black, Hammer turned their attention to this poltergeist flick, which went big on atmospherics, but ultimately missed the mark on substance.

Yes there were moments in there, but the overall picture is one of oldness, and not really in the positively retro sort of way. And the success rate of the huge number of attempted scares was considerably lower than in The Woman In Black.
