1. The Parkour Chase (Casino Royale)
Amidst all of the incredible character moments and the re-introduction of so many franchise staples that Casino Royale had, this singular action sequence may have been the defining scene in Daniel Craigs entire tenure as Bond.
Early on, Bond finds himself staking out a bomb maker in Madagascar. When Bonds partner is spotted, it leads to a thrilling foot chase through a construction site. The entire scene is absolutely heart-pounding as they slowly make their way into an unfinished structure, and up a set of girders to the top of a construction crane. Getting the actual founder of freerunning to portray Mollaka certainly didnt hurt.
What really sells this scene, beyond the breathtaking action, is the way that Bond handles everything. We see his humanity as hes stumbling to keep up and falls down every now and then. We also see how Bonds different way of doing things can still work. Where Mollaka jumps over walls, Bond crashes right through them. Its these little moments amidst the sprawling set-piece which make it so unforgettable.
