3. How Is Lex Luthor Involved?

Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex was one of the more divisive elements of BVS; some loved his quirky take, whilst others thought his performance belonged in a Joel Schumacher movie instead. Love him or hate him he’ll be appearing in Justice League, though we don’t know how big his role will be just yet.

We last saw him in jail for his part in Superman’s death and blowing up congress and all that, and the Ultimate Edition showed he had ties with Steppenwolf too. There are reports he’ll play a big role, having been released from prison and actively campaigning against superheroes. Those he feel he was too hammy should be pleased to hear his team in prison has apparently made him darker, and he’ll be more intimidating this time around.

That’s conjecture, though, but at the very least his Steppenwolf links will play into the plot somewhere.
