10 Biggest Unconfirmed Rumours About 2018 Movies

10. Olivia Munn Returns As Psylocke - X-Men: Dark Phoenix

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will exist in the same continuity as all the other X-Men movies - messy timeline be damned - meaning that characters like James McAvoy's Professor X, Michael Fassbender's Magneto, and Sophie Turner's Jean Grey will all be returning.

Add to that the likes of Tye Sheridan's Cyclops and Alexandra Shipp's Storm, and it looks like every new character introduced by X-Men: Apocalypse will also be in Dark Phoenix. Or will they?

Throughout the entire news cycle of the upcoming X-Men sequel, it has never been officially confirmed that Olivia Munn's Psylocke will be making an appearance, despite numerous sites just assuming she will be and including her in cast lists anyway.

In Deadline's exclusive casting confirmation story, her name was nowhere to be found. In a recent interview with Collider, Munn herself played coy when asked about the movie, saying "I don’t know what I’m supposed to say. I’m supposed to be vague. That’s my answer."

In July, Munn was spotted in Montreal, Canada, where X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been shooting, so that would seem to indicate her involvement. However, the actress has been shooting another movie in Canada - Josh Duhamel's The Buddy Games - so it's not clear if she was in the country solely for X-Men.

At the end of the day, we just don't know. That said, Psylocke was criminally underused in Apocalypse, so it would make sense for her to return and actually be given a fleshed-out story arc.
