A bit of a curveball, perhaps, but I cant help thinking that Synch would be a great live action character. Synch (Everett Thomas) is a mutant who can copy and indeed master/improve on the powers of any super-powered individuals in his vicinity. If he was to appear in a future X-Men movie (or a Generation X spin-off), he would prove a useful and versatile character to have on the team. There haven't been any characters like Synch in superhero movies. We've seen most powers used before and we tend to know which powers each character possesses - and that comes with an element of predictability when it comes to guessing what they might do next. Professor X is always going to mind control people, Magneto is always going to manipulate metal and Wolverine is always going to slash with those retractable claws. With Synch, you would never know what super-power he was going to use next, because he could choose to use the powers of any heroes or villains who happened to be nearby. For that reason, I think it would be great to see him brought to the big screen.
