10. It - Georgie's Happy Ending

It: Chapter One turned out to be a triumphant horror remake, up there with the very best Stephen King adaptations, and it doled out one of its most shocking scenes early on when poor, hapless Georgie meets a gruesome end.

An alternative version of this scene was included with the home release, and it plays out very differently. Rather than abruptly dragging the youngster into the sewage, Pennywise misses his chance to pounce and his would-be prey gets away.

If this was the way the scene had played out, they may as well have rolled the credits right there, but that was never the intention. "Ah, s**t," Pennywise exclaims as Georgie races off, pretty much confirming this alternate take was shot just for laughs.

There's definitely a place for deleted scenes like these, alternate takes that show how much fun the cast and crew were having while putting the movie together. And if nothing else, it's comforting taking a peek into a parallel universe where an innocent kid isn't horribly murdered by an evil clown.
