4. The Wachowskis (Jupiter Ascending)

How the mighty have fallen. The Matrix has gone down as a science-fiction classic and even The Matrix Reloaded proved to still be a great action film, if nothing else. But in the years since, The Wachowskis have struggled to get their act together. Cloud Atlas signified a potential return to form but it looks like it might be finally time to accept that their outings will always remain erratic and to simply hope for the best. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a sprawling space opera more closely resembled a narrative misfire, complete with dog hybrids and immortal space businessmen. There was potential for Jupiter Ascending to be good, and The Wachowskis have proven they have the ability to be trailblazers. Unlike many on this list, they€™ve had their share of blunders before, so chances are they€™ll figure something out.
