Although the song was written by Paul McCartney and his wife Linda specifically for the James Bond movie, Live and Let Die, the making of the song also reunited McCartney with fellow Beatle, George Harrison. Harrison produced the song as well as organized the orchestral break. The song went on to become one of Wings's most popular singles. It was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song as well as for a Grammy for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture.
