6. "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" By B.J. Thomas €” Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (1969)

This light little diddy was written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the film, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It was recorded by B.J. Thomas in just seven takes, and in the film version of the song Thomas's voice is noticeably scratchier because he was in the midst of overcoming a bout of laryngitis. The song went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Song.
