And My Best Friend's Wedding is no exception, with Julianne (Julia Roberts) attempting to derail Michael's (Dermot Mulroney) wedding because she's suddenly decided she loves him. But this scene implies that Michael might love her too? Maybe has always loved her? Maybe is reconsidering getting married to Kimmy (played by Cameron Diaz) and might call the whole thing off if Julianne says she's up for it? But then he marries Kimmy anyway and we're supposed to be pleased? Surprised there wasn't an honest sequel to this shambles called My Best Friend's Messy Divorce.
