10 Great Horror Movies You Can't Stream Anywhere
10. Lemora: A Child's Tale Of The Supernatural (1973)
Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural falls firmly into the "so bad that it's actually amazing" category of cinematic outings.
The 1973 horror combines vampiric folklore with a contemporary story set during the Prohibition era in the United States. Lila - the daughter of an affluent mafioso - soon becomes the latest target of Lemora. An ancient vampire, Lemora feeds upon young children that she abducts and sequesters in her home.
This preposterous combination of contrasting narrative threads should already be setting the alarm bells ringing for anybody in search of a masterful horror film. It comes as somewhat of a shock that Lemora is actually a riveting watch! Featuring some legitimately unnerving sequences and a gloriously creepy atmosphere, A Child's Tale of the Supernatural is held together by a pair of excellent performances from Cheryl Smith and Lesley Taplin as Lila and Lemora, respectively.
As of 2023, the movie isn't currently available on any major streaming services, and Lemora hasn't even been remastered for Blu-ray as of the time of writing. While a full version of the film can be found on The Mysterious Domain YouTube channel, it ironically still isn't available under the platform's usual pay-to-stream model.
