4. Milk (2008) - Denis O'Hare

Denis O'Hare is one of those actors that seems to be in everything. Having made appearances in shows like Law & Order, CSI, The Good Wife and True Blood, and movies like Changeling, Michael Clayton and J. Edgar, he falls squarely into the "familiar face" category of actors who aren't quite household names.

However, his various roles over several seasons of AHS are among his most recognisable - Liz Taylor in Hotel, Spalding in Coven, and Stanley in Freak Show are all particularly memorable.

O'Hare has 56 movie credits to his name, though, and you've likely heard of one or two of them.
