This song from rock legends Foo Fighters has a video infused with psychedelic surrealism that even Salvadore Dali would be weirded out by. It is directed by Michael Gondry, who like David Fincher and Spike Jonze ventured into the realm of feature length film after a successful stint in the music video industry. Gondrys fantastical vision is embodied most famously in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In the video we enter into Dave Grohls dream world, which is inhabited by an abnormal mix of punk rockers and fashionable cosmopolitan types. When his woman (played convincingly by drummer Taylor Hawkins) is being harassed, Grohl s hand swells to an enormous size and he uses it to swat away the bullies. Its a great video to watch, the sort of thing youd expect if you give a David Lynch film a Terry Gilliam makeover.
