10 Greatest James Bond Themes In The History of the Franchise

8. A View To A Kill - Duran Duran

A View To A Kill is very much a product of its time. Anyone that doubts this fact needs to go back and watch the film that showcased Silicon Valley as a set piece, Christopher Walken as the result of a Nazi experiment, and used neon black light paint on its title sequence models as if it were a vital commodity. If there were ever a closing argument for this film€™s overall 80€™s nature, it would be this theme song by Duran Duran. But that€™s what€™s so fun and memorable about the song, and it managed to do what Bond songs are supposed to do in the first place€it promised a good time.Sure, some of its lyrics make no sense past the opening (€œcrystal tears€ and €œfalling snowflakes€ are mentioned) and some not at all (what exactly is €œlover€™s rosy stain€?) but its catchy chorus and threatening synthesizer manage to give the audience the perpetual sense of dread that only a Bond villain could muster.
