Well, that's Professor Dumbledore to you, and, as far as the Doctor Who mythology is concerned, he's actually Kazran Sardick, the lonely old miser who saved Christmas in Doctor Who's 2010 festive escapade, A Christmas Carol. A whole planet would've been destroyed if the Doctor hadn't convinced Kazran to see the error of his ways and our titular Time Lord took a leaf out of Charles Dickens' book as part of his mission to convince Sardick that life really is worth living after all. Because happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light... Sorry. Wrong franchise! So, where else will you have seen Michael Gambon, then? Where won't you have seen him is probably the more appropriate question, as his extensive career, spanning over five decades, has covered the realms of theatre, TV and film and he's only just getting started, too. He's just been in another JK Rowling adaptation actually, as Howard Mollison in the BBC mini-series The Casual Vacancy, and he can also currently be seen in the Sky Atlantic series Fortitude alongside a handful of fellow Doctor Who alumni including Christopher Eccleston, Chipo Chung, Jessica Raine and Alexandra Moen. Because who hasn't been in Doctor Who these days? Sometimes actors are happy enough to not even be psychically in it, too. Speaking of which...
