Iron Man's death in Avengers: Endgame was heartbreaking, and while he left behind his wife and daughter, don't expect the MCU to touch on what happened next to them during Phase 4. Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed that she's retired from this shared world following the on-screen death of Robert Downey's Jr.'s Tony Stark, so a surprise appearance of any sort is definitely off the table.

Considering how great to was to see Pepper suit up as Rescue, it's a shame her story is over. Stark Industries played a minor role in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it feels like something Marvel Studios is looking to move away from now (which is why Avengers Tower is seemingly poised to become the Baxter Building).

There are rumours than Riri Williams, a young African-American girl from the comic books, will suit up as Ironheart somewhere down the line. However, it's doubtful that Pepper will be shown passing the Iron Man mantle to her given how definitive the actress was when talking about moving on from playing this character. As a result, Pepper is officially done in the MCU in Phase 4 and beyond.
