If Man Of Steel has classed as a big enough flop to warrant a complete change of direction to bring in Batman, why exactly did Warner Bros decide to hand control of that new direction to the same man who helmed the flop? Zack Snyder is not Kevin Feige. Hes definitely not Chris Nolan either, and yet he apparently has the keys to how the entire DC Cinematic Universe will unfold. Hes the gatekeeper, despite the fact that what he let through the first time effectively killed the Man Of Steel franchise dead. Sony knew that Marc Webb had to be removed when the Amazing Spider-Man series tanked, and theyd previously shown complete faith in his vision to that date. Hell, even Joss Whedon knew when he was beat. But Snyder is somehow free to continue with his bold vision, despite that being one of the major faults of his Superman film. Someone needs to consult Einsteins definition of insanity.
