10 More Deleted Movie Scenes You Won't Believe Actually Happened

Wait, Spider-Man's father returned from the dead?!

While it would be lovely to just wander out onto a set for a few weeks/months, capture precisely everything you need for the perfect finished article, and efficiently use every ounce of time you've been allocated to create a gripping big-screen tale, filmmaking is rarely that simple.

More often than not, a great many scenes are captured over the course of a shoot that just aren't able to find their way into the completed picture, with everything from not quite fitting in with the narrative as a whole, to the film in question being too damn over-stuffed when including this brilliant addition, leading to them sadly ending up on the cutting room floor.

However, that doesn't change the fact that these often unexpected scenes being filmed in the first place is still enough to leave fans of the final cut wondering what could've been had they somehow survived the editing stage.

So, prepare to lose your damn minds at the realisation of just how close you were to witnessing a Spider-Man rematch for the ages, one hell of a side-splitting cameo, and many other compelling movie moments that were ultimately deleted.

10. Tobey Maguire's Spidey Rematch With Willem Dafoe's Goblin - Spider-Man: No Way Home

It's hard to feel in any way let down by a Spidey feature that still boasted everything from three different live-action Web-slingers cracking wise, to a great many of the Wall-crawlers' most captivating enemies taking on the trio of Spider-Men.

However, No Way Home did also come rather close to unleashing yet another crowd-pleasing occurrence that unfortunately wasn't able to make the finished cut.

As revealed in the "Three Big Bad" featurette for the MCU flick, there was clearly a moment there when Jon Watts had planned for Willem Dafoe's Goblin to battle it out with Tobey Maguire's Peter-2 on top of the former's glider.

For whatever reason, though, Watts and co. thought it best to leave this particular epic rematch out of the spectacular closing stretch of the feature.

Again, Maguire's Parker is at least given a few satisfying moments with Doc Ock and Sandman during that climax. But not getting to witness his Spidey take on Norman Osborn one last time still likely left some feeling ever so slightly disappointed heading out of the multiversal madness.

Though, witnessing Tom Holland's Spidey go toe-to-toe with the green menace on a few brutal occasions wasn't the worst alternative in the world.
