Catwoman is probably the worst thing to have ever existed that actually required you to pay to view it. I'm not being flippant with that comment: it's a genuine travesty in every department - one of humankind's least successful creative endeavours, for sure. So, to be fair, Halle Berry didn't really have a chance with this one, given that the script reads like something a producer found in a lowly fanfic writer's trashcan, having tossed it away after even he deemed it "too God-awful to exist, despite being something unofficial that I wrote in my spare time." Why Halle Berry? She's a hugely capable actress, but this woman has accepted a ton of cringe-inducing roles over the span of her career, and that displeases me greatly. Occasionally she knocks "acting" out of the park, and everyone says, "Woah, Halle Berry is awesome. She deserved that Oscar." Most of the time, though, it's more like, "Oh, there's Halle Berry. I'm indifferent to that." Her performance in Catwoman is bad enough to keep you away from the Berry forever: cringey, bland and possibly insane, she resembles DC's iconic character in zero ways.
