10 Movie Scenes You Never Knew Used Body Doubles

5. Jack Draws Rose - Titanic

You probably wouldn't be that surprised to learn that Kate Winslet's iconic nude scene in Titanic employed the use of a body double, but it wasn't why you'd most likely think.

Indeed, the actress stripped down herself and everything you see in the movie is entirely her, yet a double was actually required for Leonardo DiCaprio, who despite being a world-class actor, apparently wasn't much of a drawer.

But rather than hire a dedicated artist to double for Jack (DiCaprio) as he draws a naked Rose (Winslet), director James Cameron simply appointed himself as the man for the job.

To make matters more complicated, Cameron is left-handed unlike DiCaprio, and so had to flip the shots in post-production.

The overall effect is completely seamless in the final film, and there's never a moment where it seems like someone other than DiCaprio is making that drawing. This is how you win Oscars.
