10 Movie Sequels You Had No Idea Were Even Happening

6. Hancock 2

It's A Sequel To...Hancock (2008) If you've ever met me in real life you'll know that I view Hancock as pretty much the most disappointing movies ever made, purely because of the way it carelessly wastes its actors and premise in favour of... well, something that I was not expecting. At all. Can a sequel solve its inherent problems, though? I doubt it, though maybe a sequel could be used to make the Hancock movie we all really, really wanted. There's been rumour of a sequel to the Will Smith/Charlize Theron superhero movie since the first film came out in 2008, of course, and slowly the pieces are moving into place. Well, apparently. As far back as December of last year, anyway. According to reports, Will Smith actually conjured up an idea for a sequel that everybody liked (it involved "another superhero character"), and now it's just a matter of making it happen. That's to say, do it whilst people are still talking about Hancock (even if they are calling it "a complete balls up from start to finish"). Wait. "Another superhero character"? Who could that be? Is this being made as another vehicle for Will Smith and his son? It is, isn't it? I've rumbled you, Smith. Get outta here. Do We Want It? Probably not, but, then, yes, definitely, we do. Yes. Definitely, yes. No (yes).
