It's A Sequel To...21 Jump Street (2012) The fact that 21 Jump Street actually emerged as a movie of hilarious proportions probably came as a kind of shock to everyone that dared to see it - that's mainly down to the fact that the writers knew just how ridiculous a movie reboot of the popular TV series was in theory, and smartly decided to acknowledge that fact in the script: what we got was a self-aware, knowing and ultimately memorable comedy tour de force - perhaps the best comedy flick of 2012. There's been talk of a sequel in the air ever since the first movie did big numbers at the box office, and one with the support of both Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Right now the movie is in a sort of limbo (but not the limbo where nothing will ever happen, I assure you) as dates and contracts are worked out and signed. As hinted towards at the end of the first movie, this one will likely be set in the college environment, so expect hilarity. Do We Want It? Another chance to see Schmidt and Jenko in action? I cannot deny what my heart wants.
