5. 24: The Movie

Though Fox's hit espionage series 24 has technically already had a film with 2008's TV movie 24: Redemption, fans have long been requesting a full-fat, big-budget, theatrically-released follow-up.

After all, the last time we saw Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in the mini-series 24: Live Another Day, he handed himself over to the Russians, as has remained an agonising cliffhanger for the entire 11 years since.

Though Fox has talked-up the prospect of another season of 24 to close out Bauer's story, and even attempted an ill-fated sans-Bauer reboot - the execrable 24: Legacy - last summer 20th, Century Studios finally confirmed that a big-screen 24 movie was now in development.

While the film is clearly in the early stages and Sutherland hasn't yet been officially confirmed to return, it's maddening to even consider any other possibility, given the likelihood of a theatrical 24 movie failing without his involvement. And honestly, what better time to see Jack Bauer do battle with the Russians?
