10 Movies That Deserve Prequels

7. The Shining

This movie is the ultimate horror movie regarding being left alone in a big, giant, tragedy-ridden building. We all loved watching Jack Torrence slip into psychosis as the images of the horror that befell the hotel beforehand start rearing their heads in front of his eyes. Now, this movie is named after the phenomena that occurs within Jack€™s son, Danny, but we don€™t really remember this as often as we remember the murderous scenes and Jack€™s infamous stalking of his family. The Prequel: We get to see what happened to the first caretaker, Mr. Grady, and his family. Because it is Grady€™s homicidal acts that led to the Torrence€™s experience at the Overlook Hotel, it opens up Grady€™s psychosis to a plethora of different triggers. In addition to this, audiences would get to see the actual slaughtering of the twins, who terrified us in the original movie.
